FENZ will be attending a series of events throughout the 2023 season where drivers at each event have the chance to set that events fastest lap time, driving that events circuit, using the Base Performance Blade simulator. THE ULTIMATE IN HOME SIMULATORS
Introduced in 2020, early prototype testing of Blade was completed during the UK lockdown by stars of the race track, including Dario Franchitti and Anthony Davidson, who used Blade to compete in The Race All-Star Series and other Esports competitions.
Built on a specially-commissioned, rigid, powder-coated steel frame, this simulator boasts a BPS carbon, two-pedal, pedal box with electric fore/aft adjustment and a bespoke BPS carbon fibre race seat.
Blade features the Precision Sim GPX Steering Wheel and runs a professional steering motor from Simucube. For sound and vision, Blade is supplied with a Cambridge Audio speaker system and Sennheiser headset plus a single 49” curved Samsung monitor with 120hz refresh rate, which creates a fully immersive driving experience.
Blade runs Assetto Corsa software and is delivered with all the car and track models that are used in the full-size single-seater and GT simulators at BPS’ headquarters in Oxfordshire. Car models are constantly updated in-house with real data and validated by professional drivers. Track models are also regularly updated to keep up with the subtle changes to tracks, meaning that anyone using Blade to prepare for their next real-world race is right up to date.

1.This is a free competition to enter. 2.To enter, you must be aged 14 years or older, and you must be based in the UK. 3.One winner will be randomly chosen to win the main prize. 4.The winner will receive two tickets to the 2023 Lenovo United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. Prize includes two nights B&B accommodation at a hotel in Austin, Texas. VIP hospitality tickets to the event. PLEASE NOTE transfers and flights are not included. 5.Enter by booking in online using your name, email address and phone number. 6.Set your fastest lap in the agreed window of time (3 laps). 7.The fastest lap from rounds 1-7 will be entered into a random draw to win the main prize. 8.Each event will have runner up winners who will all receive an OGIO backpack, Castore T-Shirt and 30 mins training at Base Performance Simulators HQ. 9.This competition closes at 7.30pm BST Sunday 10th September 2023. Any entries after this point will not be accepted. 10.The winner will be notified by email by 8pm BST Wednesday 13th September 2023. 11.There is no alternative prize or cash alternative to the prize stated. 12.Transportation to or from the event for the winner will NOT be provided. Any additional costs incurred on the event are at the winners’ own expense. 13.As the competition promoter, FENZ’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 14.Winners names will be available on request. 15.FENZ reserves the right to redraw the winners if after 24 hours the prize has not been claimed or the winner has not responded to FENZ’s attempts to make contact.
